OLLI at UM runs on member fuel! We need and appreciate our members and all their efforts. Our members participate actively in the program and its ongoing development.
Some examples of member participation are listed here:
- Teaching or co-teaching a course
- Serving as a Class Assistant
- Providing assistance in the organization's daily operations
- Coordinating & assisting with Open Houses
- Representing OLLI at UM at local fairs & events
- Participating on one or more committees:
- Curriculum Committee
- Marketing & Communications Committee
- Social Events Committee
- Volunteer Committee
- Development Committee
- Speaker Series Committee
- Elections Committee
- By-laws Committee
- The Advisory Council supports OLLI@UM and its Director. Its members serve as advisors and advocates of the OLLI mission, promote a vibrant learning community, and further the educational goals of the Institute and the University.
OLLI Membership Benefits
- Eligible to register and enroll in courses at our Coral Gables location (tuition fees required)
- Eligible to audit University classes (must pay an additional fee - requests processed through the OLLI office)
- Access to the University Library System at the Richter Library (Coral Gables campus)
- General admission to the Lowe Art Museum
- Special pricing on field trips and OLLI luncheons (event fee required)
- Participation in OLLI Shared Interest Groups (SIG)
